Giving Day is an inspiring initiative championed by Mackay Hospital Foundation to raise essential funds for local hospitals. These contributions help secure vital equipment and support various healthcare projects, directly benefiting our community. Each year, we’re overwhelmed by the generosity of our donors, and 2024 was no exception. Thanks to the dedication of matched donors and community supporters, we raised an incredible $146,079. Each year, the dedicated team at Gardian donates their time and participates in Giving Day, an event that supports the Mackay Hospital Foundation.

The Mackay Base Hospital courtyard and gift shop will be transformed into Giving Day Headquarters, with live updates showcasing donations received throughout the day. Each contribution made during this event will be matched by our committed donors, doubling the impact of every dollar given.

 

Matched donors play a crucial role in making Giving Day a success. With a donation commitment of $10,000 or more, matched donors pledge their support ahead of the event, ensuring that every public donation has twice the impact. If you’re interested in becoming a matched donor, this is a powerful way to make a lasting difference. Notably, matched donors can even designate the hospital they’d like their contribution to benefit.

 

All matched donors, major donors, and corporate supporters join us for a special breakfast on the morning of Giving Day. This gathering is a wonderful opportunity to launch the day’s efforts together and celebrate the generosity that fuels Giving Day.
