On becoming Authorised Representatives of GIB, Advisers will be required to register every member of their organisation likely to offer financial advice to clients. Registration will require:
Documentary evidence of having acquired the Tier 1 qualification approved by ASIC to meet the requirements of PS 146 combining insurance broking, general insurance, generic knowledge and skills. Acceptable documentary evidence will be a certificate of completion of an ASIC approved Tier 1 training course since 1995; or written evidence of assessment by an assessor listed in the ASIC Training Register (available to those with at least five years relevant experience over the preceding 8 years).
Completion of a Training Needs Schedule which will identify the tasks and functions performed by the individual, and facilitate the planning of on-going training.
