Mackay Harbour. Nanette appreciates the Harbour for its beautiful spot and diverse offerings.

What is your most memorable experience with the sugar cane industry?
Last 2008, I went to Sarina and first time I saw that big sugarcane area.

Not my favourite but things I observed that people in Mackay love doing - walking their pets and biking.

I believe whatever happens around me, I just need to be able to adapt and maximize whatever opportunities are laid before me.

What is your favourite local legend or historical story in Mackay?
Peter Phillips for me is a true legend. I did not spend too long a time working with him, but that span of time made me know him to be leaving an impact to everyone he meets, especially those he works with. Gardian is his leaving legacy and giving back to the community is part of his DNA that he transferred to whole of Gardian.

From the time I arrived here, I would say the development in the Waters Ooralea was quick. They were already in Phase 6.
