Commercial Administrator
Karen is local to Mackay, growing up with her younger brother and the small community of friends at Blacks Beach (the best Beach in Town 😊).
She went to Eimeo Road State School, moving to high school in 1985 and being one of the Foundation Students of Pioneer State High School.
As a teenager she worked with her parents who managed the old Buffalo Bolt Company in Wood St, then after school moved into Child Care/Kindergarten.
Her and husband Brett have 3 children & 1 grandchild. They were heavily involved in their children’s sporting groups over the years including Norths Junior Rugby League and Pioneer Swimming Club.
Her enjoyment is being in a natural environment and reading biographies. A quiet tree space with a view while reading a book is peace and tranquillity.
The start at Gardian is a bit of a Sea Change. Being in the Commercial Sales and Leasing Team as the Administrator she hopes to offer Commercial Experience & Understanding of the Industrial Sector and Administration from 18years of running their own Engineering Fabrication Business, Brett’s Transport Company both within Paget and a small Hobby Farm at Farleigh.
They have enjoyed the Real Estate sector also, having several properties in their portfolio & are looking forward to growing this further. Now the kids have grown up they are also hoping to travel more (there’s sooo much to see 😊).
