Although Mackay is home a magnitude of beautiful beaches, Cape Hillsborough is well and truly worth the drive in my books. Renowned for its spectacular sunrises, many eastern grey Kangaroos & wallabies line the beach each morning making for an experience like no other. With amenities such as parks, toilets & multiple walking trails a stone's throw away, Cape Hillsborough is by far my favorite beach.

Hey, look its honestly not as bad as you think. Although swimming in some sort of pool, beach or local freshwater swimming hole is a must on a hot summer day.
